Tax-and-spend Republicans on the County Council want you to pay even more in property taxes in exchange for reduced services. Salt Lake County families shouldn’t be forced to pay more for less. We need a leader with proven business acumen and common financial sense representing us on the County Council - someone who will work to reduce the cost of childcare, housing, and property taxes on Salt Lake County families. I’m Luke Maynes, and I’m running for County Council so that you can rest easy knowing your tax dollars are being spent wisely.

I will fight to restore and expand affordable childcare services.
I will work with municipal governments to incentivize and fund affordable housing initiatives across our county.
I will explore new programs to conserve water, protect the Great Salt Lake, and restore our air quality.
I will fight to protect the right to organize for everyone who works in Salt Lake County, to ensure that people who work in the county can afford to live here.
I will explore every possible alternative before supporting a tax increase, and ensure that any tax increases are matched by a corresponding increase in county services.
